About The Renaissance
In January of 2001 Tommy Waters and Jon Beattie took possession of The Renaissance with one of Richmond’s Largest Victorian Ballrooms. The facility came with a pedigree! It was completed in 1887, as the Masonic Temple… and boy what a life it had! The Richmond newspapers spoke volumes over the years of the elegant affairs and events hosted here. Even Theodore Roosevelt, the namesake of our “Roosevelt Grand Ballroom”, graced the property in 1905 when he and his wife came through Richmond on his tour of the southern states.
